ToxStrategies, Inc., is seeking an experienced toxicologist/risk assessor (or similar discipline) with 5+ years cosmetic/personal care product safety assessment experience in consulting and/or industry, government [e.g., FDA], to join our expanding cosmetics/personal care products safety consulting practice. ToxStrategies is a multidisciplinary scientific consulting firm that strives to develop innovative solutions to address the scientific, technical, and regulatory challenges confronting our clients. Scientists in our cosmetics/personal care products practice provide consulting services to companies in all phases of product development and ingredient review and registration processes. This includes providing clients with scientific, strategic, and regulatory expertise in ingredient and finished products safety evaluations. This position requires an in-depth understanding of the scientific and regulatory processes associated with implementing safety assessments for cosmetic ingredients and personal care products. The position requires knowledge of industry best practices. The candidate should ideally be familiar with current SCCS guidelines, CIR assessments, and EU regulations related to cosmetics.
This position will involve designing, implementing, and overseeing safety studies (in vitro and clinical) and safety assessments for ingredients and for cosmetics and personal care products, as well as identifying, interpreting, and integrating data from various studies for our clients. Additional responsibilities may include developing templates and process development documentation for use across the firm and for clients, internal and external training on methods used in safety assessments, developing novel methods for exposure assessments, conducting QSAR and read across, and curation and interpretation of high throughput screening data.
