Dr. Drechsel is a toxicologist with over 10 years of experience conducting laboratory research and health risk assessments. He has performed toxicological evaluations and quantitative exposure analyses to support human health risk assessments for a variety of substances in occupational, environmental, and consumer settings. Dr. Drechsel has conducted product safety evaluations to support compliance with California Proposition 65 and Food Safety Modernization Act regulations, and has provided technical expertise for crisis management and recall decisions for the food, beverage, dietary supplement, and cosmetics industries. In support of litigation efforts, Dr. Drechsel has performed evidence-based causation analyses, dose reconstruction, and state-of-the-science evaluations involving asbestos, talc, and benzene. His laboratory experience includes studies on the molecular mechanisms behind neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Dr. Drechsel is widely published in the human health science literature and regularly attends and presents at toxicology conferences.
