Responsibilities
- Works under minimal supervision with broad guidelines to support several technically complex and diverse projects.
- Expands technical expertise in specific areas of risk assessment, toxicology, epidemiology, and exposure assessment by participating as a primary writer and technical contributor to one manuscript or to two to three diverse technical projects annually.
- Recognized by clients as a technical expert, which includes testifying and supporting litigation projects.
- Mentors junior staff members and reviews their work product.
- Stays abreast of relevant scientific literature and regulations.
- Follows the ethical guidelines and standard methodologies for their field.
Qualifications
- Advanced Degree in Toxicology, Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, or related fields. PhD preferred.
- A minimum of 10+ years’ professional experience is required.
- Prior consulting firm experience is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in critical thinking, problem-solving and writing.
- Proven time management and organizational skills, and an aptitude for attention to detail.
- Comprehensive understanding of the consulting business and risk assessment process required.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including but not limited to:
- scoping work
- establishing schedules
- project plan development
- routine tracking/reporting throughout project implementation.
