The Society of Toxicology (SOT) Nominating Committee recently announced results of the 2017-2018 SOT Council Election. We are pleased to announce that Dr. Laurie Haws has been elected as Secretary and will serve a 3-year term on SOT Council.
In serving on SOT Council, Dr. Haws has stated that she will “… work hard to support and promote SOT’s vision, values, and strategic priorities. SOT is the largest professional society for toxicologists, with members spanning the globe and representing all sectors of our discipline, from government to academia to industry. This diverse membership is our strength, and I will work diligently to expand our outreach, as well as our global impact. While we represent diverse views and interests, we share a common goal of enhancing the impact, relevance, and recognition of toxicology in scientific advancements that serve to improve public and environmental health.”
