For the 16th year, the American Feed Industry Association will hold its AFIA Pet Food Conference in conjunction with the 2023 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE—January 24–26, in Atlanta, Georgia). The Pet Food Conference is an annual opportunity for professionals in the field to learn about new research, trends, and developments in the pet food industry. Hot topics to be discussed include sampling techniques for aflatoxin, export trends, regulatory updates, pet food sustainability, and issues associated with mergers and acquisitions.
ToxStrategies food scientist Mr. Scott Hawks will tackle the issue of aflatoxin sampling, joining a field of speakers scheduled for Tuesday, January 24th. Scott is a Senior Consultant with ToxStrategies, bringing 30 years of experience in food-related safety, product development, manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and import and export regulations. He has led manufacturing quality initiatives, audited vendors, and developed training and leadership programs in the pet food arena.
