ToxStrategies has been named the recipient of a research grant to conduct a systematic literature review assessing any potential relationship between formaldehyde inhalation and myeloid leukemia and other lymphohematopoietic (LHP) cancers. The announcement came in a news release from the Center for Truth in Science.
Formaldehyde is a component of many building materials and household products, and emissions from appliances such as gas stoves can contain small amounts. However, scientists have not reached consensus on whether inhalation exposure causes leukemia or LHP cancers. The ToxStrategies team will conduct the systematic literature review to facilitate a state-of-the-science assessment of causality. For more information contact Daniele Wikoff, Ph.D., or click here.
