Kramer M. AIHA exposure models toolbox. Virtual presentation, Occupational Hygiene Association of Ontario (OHAO) Fall Conference, Toronto, ON, Canada, October 2025.
Abstract
Exposure modeling is an emerging and versatile exposure assessment strategy for OEHS professionals, however, determining the appropriate model and model parameters can be challenging. This session aims to address these barriers by introducing an array of resources for exposure modeling, the primary one being the Exposure Modeling Toolbox, published on AIHA’s Risk Assessment Tools page. The Exposure Modeling Toolbox, which focuses on exposure models that are freely available to the public, provides introductory and comparative information on the section, parameters, and differences between available models. Additionally, four models from the toolbox will be reviewed in depth, including inhalation-based models (SDM 2.0 and IHMod 2.0) and dermal-based models (DRAM and IHSkinPerm).
